Inside DTC

About Digital Transformation Center

The center brings together faculty, students, and partners to explore practical digital transformation through research, experimentation, consultation, and technology-led collaboration.

About DTC
Research, training, and immersive systems under one coordinated space.

We work at the leading edge of ICT innovation by exploring practical uses of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, and related tools that help research, learning, and digital transformation move forward.

Our Three Main Pillars

Raising Awareness Hosting events and workshops on transformative technologies like IoT.
Fostering Engagement Building strong partnerships between faculty, students, and industry.
Driving Technology Adaptation Using the latest tools to stay ahead in the digital world.

We support cutting-edge research and student success by providing advanced computing resources and software, helping showcase talent, accelerate ideas, and secure support for innovative work.

Programs And Milestones

DTC Pillars

The center operates through three connected pillars while documenting the recognitions and milestones that show the work in action.

Awareness Program

Pillar 01

Awareness

Through events, workshops, and non-credit courses, we build awareness around the opportunities and real-world uses of IoT and data science.

Engagement Program

Pillar 02

Engagement

Faculty, students, industry, and community stakeholders collaborate to develop useful digital solutions and stronger innovation pathways.

Other Accomplishments

Academic service roles, peer review contributions, and technical consultancy engagements by DTC personnel.

Dr. De Ocampo served as peer reviewer for this manuscript submitted for academic publication. The study explores a semi-supervised learning method combined with a generative model for identifying liver cancer from pathological image data — aligned with his expertise in machine learning and computer vision.

Invited by the Editorial Office of Plant Methods (Springer Nature) to review this manuscript. The study introduces a multi-site, multi-variety RGB image dataset of 48,320 time-stamped images across four European apple orchards, with 808 manually annotated images covering 241,600 expert annotations from dormant bud to fruit maturity.
